Bureau of Excellence in Architecture & Design, BEAD Architects & Engineers is a contemporary design firm of architects, designers, engineers and planners based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
BEAD provides the entire value-chain from cutting edge Architecture and Urban Planning to providing Structural & MEP Design services through its affiliated companies.
Being contemporary oriented and research based design firm, BEAD have differentiated itself from the majority of the other local firms, adding a valuable measure of credibility to its design services.
In addition to its own resources, BEAD benefits from high caliber and collective know how of many associated local and international design firms which provide excellent design solutions to BEAD’s clients in different construction trades.
At our studio, multiple areas are sought so design, planning and scholarly research go hand in hand. As a matter of fact, a very important difference in BEAD performing the service from other design firms is the efforts we put in complimenting design tasks with a thorough research effort whether the latter goes into up-to-date design theories, building materials or new construction technologies.
It is by contradiction to policies of most of the practicing consultancy firms in the region, BEAD approaches the services of design and architecture as a sacred profession rather than a commercial business.

experience
Although BEAD Architects & Engineers is young in terms of the official inauguration (established on January 2008) however; the practice carries decades of collective experience in research, design, specification and construction supervision of buildings through the knitted experience of its founder and the on board directors with superb support of a high quality technical team.
capability
Along with creative design, architecture and engineering, this practice has a strong capability in Design Management and Project Management. BEAD can lead and co-ordinate large team of specialist consultants through all work stages to completion, operating in some cases with team members in different locations and time zones.
BEAD is registered with all local and many regional government agencies and institutions, and cooperated with selected local architects of record in other zones where BEAD is not currently registered. BEAD is a member of the Emirates and USA Green Building Councils. It has a licence to supervise construction in the UAE and employs teams of engineers from all disciplines on a number of construction sites.
This practice carries professional indemnity insurance, is ISO 9001 certified, and can run projects of over $400 million in value.
